Oregon Community Foundation Awards PNCA $100K Creative Heights Grant to Commission Installations by Indigenous Artists

Pacific Northwest College of Art Appoints Dr. Christopher Maples as Interim President
Tuesday, August 6, 2019 – Portland, OR – The Board of Governors of Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) today announced the appointment of Dr. Christopher Maples as Interim President, effective August 12, 2019. Maples comes to PNCA from Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) where he served as Interim Chancellor for two years. Previously, Maples spent eight years as President of Oregon Institute of Technology, during which time he formed deep ties to the Oregon community.
PNCA's Make+Think+Code Launches the Disinformation Project
Tuesday, July 31, 2019 – Portland, OR – Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) is proud to present the launch of the Disinformation Project by Make+Think+Code, PNCA's creative technology lab. In a world of rapidly-accelerating technological transformation, the viral spread of disinformation through social networks is fast becoming one of the urgent complex challenges of our time. Make+Think+Code’s Executive Director and PNCA faculty member, Nandini Ranganathan issued a challenge to create what she has called a Bletchley Park for the 21st Century to launch a War on Disinformation at her talk at the recent TEDx Portland 2019.

PNCA Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing brings acclaimed writers for free public events

Most of the programming is free and open to the public. PNCA Gala Raises $350,000 to Support Student Scholarships
