In 2019 the Oregon College of Art and Craft (OCAC) Board of Trustees approved a resolution to terminate all degree programs. The loss of this venerable institution is a loss for the entire art and craft community in the region, and we especially felt for our friends, colleagues, and fellow artists: the students, faculty, and staff of OCAC.

We have worked closely with OCAC to plan a teach-out agreement to arrange for instruction and studio space to allow OCAC students to finish their degrees at PNCA. The MFA in Applied Craft + Design, which was previously jointly offered by both PNCA and OCAC, will continue at PNCA to celebrate making and thinking with the hand.

PNCA has entered into an agreement to serve as the custodian of OCAC’s student and alumni records.

OCAC alumni will be able to order transcripts of their OCAC academic history through Parchment transcript services.

In addition, OCAC Alumni have launched the new OCAC Alumni Alliance.
