PNCA Critical Studies students have the opportunity to join scholars and artists from throughout the institution each summer in creative inquiry by participating in Global Studios, Berlin.

Q+A Projects is a collaborative endeavor launched in 2018 by Critical Studies MA candidate Alex Andreotti and dual MA/MFA candidate Qamuuqin Maxwell. The group curated a show featuring work by eight PNCA graduate students exhibited at the 2018 Oregon Fringe Festival in Ashland, OR.

Julian Adoff presented his paper, "A Common Language of Cultural Provocation: Problematizing the Categorical Taxonomies of Art and Design Research" at the 2018 Popular Culture Conference in March.

Allan deSouza, Associate Professor and Chair of Art Practice at the University of California, Berkeley, has been announced as the keynote speaker of PNCA's 2018 Graduate Symposium taking place October 12th and 13th.
