The Low-Residency Students had the opportunity this winter to meet with Curators and Gallerists at the Portland Art Museum, Yale Union, PDX contemporary, and Chicken Coop Contemporary
Winter Intensive presentations
During the Winter Intensive, the First-Year students presented the work the they have completed over their first two semesters. The Second-Year students presented their Thesis Proposals in preparation for their final year of the program.
Nicholas Frank Visiting Artist
Visiting Artist Nicholas Frank worked with the Low-Residency MFA students this last week. He taught a seminar on Art Writing, meet individually with students for studio visits, and gave a public lecture. Watch the Nicholas Frank Lecture.

Low-Res Visiting artist Sky Hopinka is presenting a selection of his moving images "I’ll Remember You as You Were" Tuesday, December 18th 7pm at the Northwest Film Center’s Whitsell Auditorium, inside the Portland Art Museum, 1219 SW Park Ave.
