thirdroom presents the art of Christopher Willauer
January 07, 2019
Christopher is here for one week and will generate works in conversation with his experiments and excursions, while contemplating on works past. Place is a huge influencer of Christopher’s practice, and his works involving the changing seasons and weight of the tide began in work he made during his 2018 residency in Iceland. We are looking forward to seeing what he creates and shares while in Oregon, in the Third Room. We are hosting his first solo exhibition, Keeping Time With The Tide, a cultivation of works digested over the last year. Christopher’s finished experiments with sculpture, durational performance, video installation, and paper goods articulate place and a queerness of becoming, while themes of the body as an organic echo of time weave throughout. Please join us for the opening JAN 12, 2019 @ 7pm. Refreshments served and books for sale, as per usual. See you there!
