Transfer Agreements

Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) awards all admitted students a merit-based scholarship. The amount awarded varies based on the overall strength of the student’s application. In addition to merit-based scholarships, PNCA has developed Transfer Pathways in partnership with select community colleges. These pathways are aligned with specific two-year degrees. PNCA offers a $5,000 Transfer Partner Scholarship to eligible students transferring from a designated Partner School who follow a designated PNCA pathway aligned with their intended major at PNCA. All PNCA Scholarships are renewable annually and The Transfer Partner Scholarship can be combined with merit-based scholarships, the Early Application scholarship (must meet deadline), the Priority Deadline scholarship (must meet deadline), external scholarships, grants, and loans. Students are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for additional need-based aid.

PNCA values the contributions of transfer students and their impact on campus culture and academic life. These agreements reflect PNCA’s commitment to accessibility, affordability, and student success. Our Transfer Agreements are designed to provide a clear and supported path toward a BFA, remove common transfer barriers, offer meaningful credit for previous and applicable coursework, and incentivize and support the transition from a two-year to a four-year degree. Students who earn an associate degree while in high school may also be eligible if they can follow an established Transfer Pathway. To qualify for the Transfer Partner Scholarship, students must apply and be admitted to PNCA, complete a two-year degree from a designated Partner School aligned with an established PNCA Transfer Pathway and their intended major, earn a grade of C- or higher in all coursework applicable to the pathway, and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 while following the pathway.
