On Campus Workshops

All On Campus Workshops will have the following schedule: 

Check-in and campus tour: 4:30–5:30 p.m.
*Campus tour starts promptly at 4:45 p.m.
Dinner: 5:30–6:00 p.m.
Workshop: 6:00–7:00 p.m.

While students are participating in the workshop, parents and guests are
invited to stay for an info session about our application requirements and
Pre-College program for high school students.

Please note that on campus workshops are limited to 22 participants unless otherwise noted. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Admissions Office.

Join us for an in-person observational still life drawing workshop taught by our faculty! We will draw from a fun selection of objects in one of our drawing studios. We will also provide a campus tour from 4:45pm to 5:30pm as well as dinner from 5:30pm - 6:00pm before the workshop.

Join us for an in-person drawing and stop motion animation workshop taught by our faculty! In this workshop, you will create your own animated drawings using analog stop motion drawing techniques and new technology. We will also provide a campus tour from 4:45pm to 5:30pm as well as dinner from 5:30pm - 6:00pm before the workshop.

Fan art can be a great way to develop your skills and explore new styles, but where does it fit in your PNCA portfolio? In this virtual info session, we will define “fan art” and discuss ways to use your fan art as a jumping off point for new, original artwork with your unique, artistic voice. We will also go over common portfolio mistakes and how to avoid them. At the end of the session you will have the opportunity to have your questions answered by PNCA Admissions Counselors.

In this virtual info session, we will dive into the ways that you can create fully realized works for your portfolio from your sketchbook. We'll also shine a spotlight on our extensive Portland internship opportunities and showcase stories of successful PNCA alumni. Please join us to learn about the many avenues an art education can lead you down. This session will be followed by a Q+A with PNCA Admissions Counselors.

Your portfolio is ready, your artist statement is in top shape, and now it’s time to submit your application! In this virtual info session we will walk you through the process of submitting your application from start to finish. We will review how to start or continue your application, upload your portfolio and artist statement, request your official transcripts, and how to know if your application is complete. PNCA Admissions Counselors will be available for Q+A at the end of the session.

Join us to get to know the incredible city of Portland, Oregon! We’re going to introduce you to our favorite art galleries, coffee shops, thrift stores, food trucks, and beautiful parks that make Portland, Oregon such an inspiring place to call home. We'll also introduce you to PNCA, the only AICAD fine art college in the state of Oregon. This presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with PNCA admissions counselors.
