Apply to PNCA as an International Student

Begin the undergraduate, graduate, or post-baccalaureate application.

Upload your high school and/or university transcripts or final examination results.

Once you have been admitted to PNCA, you will need to provide an official copy of your transcripts to complete the enrollment process. Send transcripts to the Graduate Admissions Office at 511 NW Broadway, Portland OR, 97209.

If your transcripts are not in English, or are otherwise complex, we will send them to World Education Services to have them verified. There will be a small fee for the external verification process. (Otherwise there is no fee for submitting your application.)

You can fulfill the English language proficiency requirements by achieving the following minimum scores on these tests.

• TOEFL iBT: 79
• IELTS: 6.5
• iTEP: 3.9
• Duolingo: 100
• PTE Academic: 58
• English3: 68
• GTEC: 1200
• SAT Critical Reading and Writing: 490
• ACT English and Reading: 20
• IB English: 4
• AP English Language: 3

English language test scores are not needed for:

• Native English speakers
• Students educated at schools where English is the primary language of instruction.
• Students who studied (without ESOL courses) at a U.S. high school for at least two years or at a U.S. college/university for at least one year.
• Students who complete all Level 5 courses of Pacific International Academy’s Intensive English program, Level 112 at the ELS Center, or Level 9 at The Language Company.

Upload other supporting documents: color scans of your passport and U.S. visa, if you are currently studying in the U.S. PNCA’s admissions office will contact you for other needed documents.

If you are accepted to PNCA and you decide to enroll, you need to order a transcript evaluation.

Any student who graduates from or who wishes to transfer credits from an institution outside of the U.S. must submit a transcript evaluation before the Form I-20 will be created and/or before an official transfer audit will be completed. Transcript evaluations can be ordered from WES, ECE or any other NACES members.

• A course-by-course evaluation is required if you intend to transfer credit from an institution outside of the U.S. to PNCA, otherwise a general evaluation with GPA is sufficient.
• If your transcript is from a U.S. high school or institution, an official transcript is sufficient and a transcript evaluation is not needed.
