LRCW Faculty Vi Khi Nao on tour in the PNW, March 7th to the 11th

LRCW Faculty Vi Khi Nao is on tour in the Pacific Northwest from March 7 to March 11. On March 7, Vi Khi Nao will visit Portland to teach a class and do a reading at PNCA and then head to Seattle for the 2023 Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) Conference, March 9-11.
LRCW Faculty, including Vi, will be on panels during this years AWP. Vi Khi Nao will present on a panel called Weird Fusions: Crafting and Publishing Hybrid Work (Saturday, March 11), and LRCW faculty and multi-disciplinary artist Dao Strom will present on a panel called Extended Mournings: Encountering Violence, Memory, and Grief in the Asian Diaspora. PNCA's Low Residency Creative Writing and Critical Studies programs will be tabling at the AWP Book Fair at Table 1439.

Join PNCA's MFA Applied Craft + Design Chair Sara Huston, faculty member and mentor Abbie Miller and artist and craftswoman Annica Cuppetelli in conversation as they delve into their individual use of both hand work and machine techniques, and share their research on the various layers of production and information that are intertwined with objects, processes, and materials, as well as their need to evolve, adapt, and establish craft in relationship to making and industry. The event will be at GMA Architects, where Miller’s ongoing exhibition serves as a backdrop for the talk.
