Trung Bao: One of the World’s Premier New-School Beatboxers

One of our own makes the Willamette Week's Best of 2019! Senior Trung Bao is named Best Competitive Beatboxer. A talented graphic design student, Bao is also a world-class new-school beatboxer, the first Vietnamese citizen to win a wild card to an international beatbox championship. He placed second in the American Beatbox Championships.
And he was the first Vietnamese citizen to win a wild card to an international beatbox championship.
The WW reports, "[W]hat really brought Bao international recognition were the many videos of his battles, recorded and published by the beatbox-specific streaming platform Swissbeatbox. In the past year, Bao began working with the company to create competitions in his home country of Vietnam."
