Screening: "Sita Sings the Blues"

Join PNCA’s Boundary Crossings: An Institute in Contemporary Animated Arts and the Northwest Film Center for the Portland premiere of “Sita Sings the Blues,” the first feature by independent animation artist and 2006 Guggenheim Fellow Nina Paley.

“The Greatest Break-Up Story Ever Told,” the film retells the classic Indian myth the Ramayana. Dubbed “America’s best-loved unknown cartoonist,” Paley is an independent artist committed to sharing her work through the Creative Commons.
