MA in Critical Studies Candidate Ellena Basada Awarded Fulbright

Ellena Basada, a candidate in PNCA's MA in Critical Studies program has been awarded Fulbright to Germany. This represents the first Fulbright for an enrolled student although a number of our alumni, including Nat Andreini have previously been awarded Fulbrights.

Basada received her BA in English Literature from Pomona College in 2016. She has done editing work for Phoneme Media & Unnamed Press, VICE, and Tin House Books, and oversaw the development of and served as editor-in-chief of Discursive Impulse, PNCA's critical arts journal.

The Fulbright Program is devoted to increasing mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Fulbright is the world's largest and most diverse international educational exchange program.
