Juneteenth Camp with Don't Shoot PDX

June 15, 2018

Juneteenth Camp with Don't Shoot PDX, Pacific Northwest College of Art, and Portland Art Museum

To celebrate Juneteenth, PNCA will be partnering with Teressa Raiford and Don't Shoot Portland with the support of Portland Art Museum to run a week-long art and activism summer camp for kids, primarily kids from underserved communities as well as kids with disabilities. The camp will bring in kids of all ages to make art in response to the ongoing struggles for social justice and civil rights.

The camp will take place in PNCA's Commons from June 18 through June 22 from 10am to 2pm. Teressa and young artist/activist Ameya Okamoto are volunteering their time to plan and run the camp.

We will be doing a variety of printmaking activities and other art experiences.
