Beauty Within Death

Beauty Within Death

Death: such an anticipated aspect of life. One might assume it would be embraced by your average American, yet it seems that many people within our society are disturbed by the thought of human bodies decomposing that steps are taken to prevent it completely. The most common forms of post-mortem body disposal are cremation and burial, which do nothing but cause damage to the earth’s ecosystem and pollute the environment. Perhaps a change is in order in which we reroute our thinking, embrace decay, and see the beauty of nature’s disposal system in a new light.

All Thesis presentations will take place at 2:30 PST the Friday of the exhibition via Zoom
