The Low-Residency MFA in Visual Studies Winter Intensive is coming up January 6-10, 2020

Student Thesis Presentations, Tuesday January 7, from 1:30 - 8:30pm
This winter nine LRVS MFA Candidates will present their Thesis Proposals. Presenting students are: Patrick Durka, Robert Fields, Melissa Gueiros, Natalie Laswell, Sydney Leja, Kalaija Mallery, Joseph Rodriguez, Raychel Rogers, & Jeffrey Rosenthal. All presentations are free and open to the public.
Visiting Artist Lecture with James McAnally, Thursday January 9, from 6-7:30pm
Visiting Critic James McAnally will present a lecture on the concept of "strategic criticism" in times of social and institutional crises. Drawing from his role as the co-founder and editor of Temporary Art Review and Director of The Luminary, the lecture poses a position for art criticism to help reimagine the structural concerns of art and its formational institutions in the present.
