We are so proud of LRVS alumni '22 ahuva s. zaslavsky for her participation in the 2022 GLEAN residency exhibition. The opening was a stellar show and we highly encourage you to go see the exhibition at Parallax Art Center in downtown Portland.

GLEAN is a juried art program that taps into the creativity of artists to inspire people to think about their consumption habits, the waste they generate, and the resources they throw away. Artists work with materials strictly recovered from Portland's Metro Central Transfer Station -aka the dump- this residency is a true experiment and honoring of contemporary art in our city. Come celebrate this new work with the artists that made it all happen!

The Evolving Hand: A Panel Conversation

Join PNCA's MFA Applied Craft + Design Chair Sara Huston, faculty member and mentor Abbie Miller and artist and craftswoman Annica Cuppetelli in conversation as they delve into their individual use of both hand work and machine techniques, and share their research on the various layers of production and information that are intertwined with objects, processes, and materials, as well as their need to evolve, adapt, and establish craft in relationship to making and industry. The event will be at GMA Architects, where Miller’s ongoing exhibition serves as a backdrop for the talk.
