This annual writing retreat allows for focused time to work toward completing the thesis paper. The thesis process is overseen by program Chair Shawna Lipton and faculty member Taylor Eggan. The thesis is a culmination of the students’ independent research completed during the second year of the program.

When taking a break from writing, the students spent time enjoying the open space in the lodge and walking the trails around Blue Lake. The grounds of the Art Center are located on the rim of a silent volcano. The lake is a breathtaking blue color due to its extreme depth.
