"I am driven by a deep-seated curiosity about the division of our public and private selves, especially the ways in which social media has contributed to these growing needs to self-curate. What conversations do we shy away from having and how do those subjects relate to an unspoken understanding about the content accepted and expected on social media? I utilize surface design, illustration and printmaking to create subversive works which seek to challenge our contemporary ways of sharing about ourselves and to suggest more genuine, multifaceted presentations of our complicated, not-always-perfect selves."
