Friday Fives: Sarah Carroll, '20
December 21, 2018

Every Friday we give #highfives to a different designer from our extended family of PNCA students, faculty, alumni, and guest lecturers. 🙌🙌🙌 We ask them five questions.
Sarah Carroll is a graphic and communications designer.
Follow the series @pncadesign.

Q: What's your design "superpower?"
A: I really enjoy research and ideation, in addition to physically making things away from a computer for a project.

Q: What feels vital to the future of design, to you?
Being both playful and intentional about what we put out into the world.

A: What are you listening to?
I listen to The Read with Kid Fury and Crissle West every Thursday. Also, How Did This Get Made? and The Moth.

Q: What are you reading right now?
A: Runaway by Alice Munro and Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion.

Q: Is there anything you wish you had known when you started school, that you know now?
A: It's okay to experiment. Sometimes just playing around with different mediums or creating some really terrible work is great for projects.
