Art Prize in Honor of W.J.T. Mitchell

Pacific Northwest College of Art recently held an Idea Studio Art Prize Competition in honor of the iconology and visual studies scholar W.J.T. Mitchell. Professor Mitchell lectured on “The Future of the Image” for a PNCA+FIVE Idea Studio.

A total of 12 students submitted their artwork for consideration for the Art Prize. Matthew Wilson, MFA in Visual Studies ‘09, was chosen to present his illustration piece entitled “Surrogates #4” to Professor Mitchell at the conclusion of the lecture.
