Alumna Susan Seubert Talks Travel Photography at TEDx

On March 28, 2018 in Emory, Virginia, PNCA alumna, commercial and editorial photographer Susan Seubert explains what it's like to be a travel photographer, running a "DIY" career, and how it is different than people might think.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. 

About Susan Seubert

Susan Seubert is an award-winning travel and editorial photographer, and an acknowledged National Geographic Photography Expert. Seubert has twice been recognized with awards by the North American Travel Journalists Association for excellence in editorial photography and has recently received a Life Magazine Alfred Eisenstaedt Award. With projects spanning around the globe, Susan travels the world shooting a variety of subjects capturing their sense of place through her lens. She lectures regularly about her work, sharing in-depth knowledge of digital technologies and multimedia skills, at such institutions as Harvard University and the Portland Art Museum. Born and raised in Indiana, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, and has continued to broaden her creative focus and professional photography ever since.
