Laura O'Quin

Laura O’Quin is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, educator, and cultural producer working between curatorial, community engagement, and social practices. She has a 25 year tenure of working in and with a broad range of organizations from grassroots nonprofits, cultural institutions, socially minded small businesses to Global Fortune 500 companies.

Currently, she is the Director of Design Experience at Nike’s Blue Ribbon Studio, a maker-space, education lab, and center of engagement for the company’s 700+ designers.

As an artist and designer, she explores publishing as an artistic practice. She is the co-founder of the Working Library, a socially engaged artistic practice and residency program that supports creative projects dealing in themes of publication, archive, and collection. Check out the Working Library and learn more about their programs. Recently, Laura got a kiln and has turned her dining room and her brother's garage into a ceramic studio.

She has a BA in photography and contemporary theory with a Post Bacc in graphic design from Western Washington University and a MFA in Applied Craft + Design, from Pacific Northwest College of the Arts & Oregon College of Art and Craft.
