Artist Statement
My thesis is titled Fragments of Me and developed out of the concern to organize personal artifacts. My inquiry is in how to invest in my memory, moreover, how does memory play a role in my present sense of self? Through a practice of alternative process photography and archival reconfiguration, I expand upon the gesture of the family photograph and how an archive can provide a space to grapple with the nature of identity.
