I am amazed by the transformative and creative power of the universe. As an artist, I look to embrace these creative forces while simultaneously being a piece and a product of them. I am a designer of processes, creating rules or instructions to follow. They are developed through experimentation of materials and methods that are mainly focused around repetitive, meditative actions. These instructions act as a framework that defines an unknown dimension or terrain from which the work unfolds. As I investigate this realm, each piece becomes a landmark or a convergence in this virtual geography. Through my paintings and drawings, I am exploring this unknown and acting as a facilitator for its emergence into this physical reality in an attempt to understand it.
