& THIS WORK IS ABOUT GROWING TO BE A PERSON THAT I LOVE & THIS WORK IS ABOUT ASKING PEOPLE TO EMPATHIZE WITH ME.
I have created four personas, in reaction to the Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro Program, meant to target wild mustangs living on public lands for extinction to make room for beef cattle. In what was meant to be a project selling a product to provide support for these wild horses, I share a few lessons about empathy, forgiveness, gender euphoria, mental health, capitalism, and cartwheels through performance and videos. The joy in this work is the joy of watching wild mustangs run free, the euphoria of queer freedom beyond construct. It is the euphoria you can only find once you understand yourself.
