Fiber is a material that has always a constant presence within my practice; paper, fabric, thread, yarn act as my tools to explore how I understand the world. Space in between acts as the current culmination of my explorations into themes of gender, identity, queerness, memory, and a rural origin. This work explores the place inbetween two moments, one of memory and the other of reflection. The installation process acts as a reflective state as I work intuitively to create a space to communicate my conceptual understandings. From there the cycle starts again; experimentation with form and materiality of material.
