Walls; observations from within.
Reality appears to each of us in a unique way due to the perceptions we have gathered through our individual existence. Moving through the human experience we begin to build a foundation that has been influenced in order to fit inside a box and molds our perception to containment. What happens when we decide to take agency in how we perceive our surroundings and ourselves. How do we take back the right to not only think outside the box but to also perceive our world in a way of purity, amazement and in a state of awe?
Through the use of photography, I share my own perceptions of the world as I see it which has been created upon past experiences. These experiences include mistakes, traumas, failures, successes, and lessons learned. I invite the viewer to take a look through the lens I have focused for 40 years with the hopes that it may allow for one to refocus their own lens.
