Project Statement
C.U.B.E. is a game designed to have the rules constantly changing. This challenges players to adapt their methods of play and at times work together to move forward. Through collaboration, conversation, and creativity players can experience an unorthodox game together. The goal is not to win nor to give up, but to move through the uncertainty, confront expectations of rules, and face the challenge of finding agency when presented with unknown and shifting rules.
Are you ready to play a game with changing rules and increasing complexity?
About Caitlin Taber
Caitlin Taber is a multimedia maker curious about the puzzles and patterns around us. By seeking ways to connect individuals and build community through joy, she experiments with making games and objects for play. While at Colorado College, she explored the power of film and media to share stories with others. After graduation, she spent several years working in Information Technology before shifting her focus to art, craft, and design. When not making messes, Caitlin can be found tasting new beers at local breweries as research for her Cicerone certification studies. She lives and works in Portland, Oregon while dreaming of camping in the great outdoors and living in France. Currently, she is working on her MFA in Applied Craft and Design at Pacific Northwest College of Art. Her work concentrates on facilitating gathering and collaboration through gameplay.
