From day one you will be immersed in exploration, skill-building, and entrepreneurial practices all designed to help build resiliency and to thrive in the ever-evolving world of contemporary creative careers.
In classes such as drawing, digital tools, time-based arts, and two- and three-dimensional design you will be exposed to new ways of art making, develop technical and craft skills, and enhance your critical thinking.
In our Interdisciplinary General Education classes, you will examine your goals, ideas, and ethics in regard to your areas of interest and the broader art world. With questions such as what does it mean as a creative citizen to engage in the context you are living in, you will be exposed to the ways artists, designers, and scholars make sense of the world and how they are addressing today’s complex web of social, environmental and cultural issues.
We take the concept of global creative citizenship seriously, exposing you to diverse voices with various perspectives to help you develop a more complex understanding of what it means to be an artist today.
Part of thriving involves self-care and at PNCA we want to help you build a foundation of self-care so within our general education classes you will learn about the importance of nurturing yourself as well as how we can support each other as a community of artists and designers.
