Financial Aid for New Graduate Students

Graduate students have a number of finance opportunities to manage their attendance costs. Most programs offer merit scholarships based on academic and artistic achievement and awarded at the time of admission. Additionally, federal loans and federal work study programs are available but require completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

There are a number of other unique funding options available for graduate students.

  • Assistantships

MFA and MA students can apply for Teaching Assistantships which afford students the opportunity to work in the classroom and gain pedagogical experience. Teaching Assistantships are competitive and are awarded on a semester basis and available after the first semester is completed.

  • Fellowships

Once admitted, you also have the opportunity to apply for Graduate Fellowship awards specific to their selected program of study. Currently, our fellowships include a curatorial fellowship and a Writers Fellowship
