Printmaking MFA students will demonstrate expertise in printmaking through knowledge of the global, historical, and multi-cultural contexts, through industry-standard technical making skills, and through the use of methods and materials necessary to maintain a professional practice in printmaking. Printmaking students will analyze their own creative work and that of others, formulate lines of critical inquiry, apply an equitable world-view and multiple ways of knowing to devise complex solutions using evidence and creative risk-taking. (PNCA CLO 3)
Printmaking students will comprehend contemporary global social, civic and community issues, connect these issues to their professional practice, and demonstrate personal and professional skills to take meaningful action as a global citizen*. (PNCA CLO 4)
Identify and pursue their professional goals, represent themselves and their artwork well and accurately to diverse audiences, and create and maintain a robust network of people within and without the artistic fields that will support their practice and, in turn, they can support. (PNCA CLO 7)
