Studio Arts Requirements

The Studio Arts major requires the completion of 60 semester hours, which includes two three-credit required courses, one three-credit Art History course, fifteen three-credit fine art studio courses (six at the 200-level, six at the 300-level, and one at the 400-level), six additional credits of fine arts studio or internship, and six credits of Thesis Project. This 60-credit major contributes to the 121 credits required for the BFA degree.

In addition to the program requirements listed below, all BFA students must complete Foundation & General Education requirements that contribute to the 121 credits required for the BFA degree.

Program Electives

  • Complete 18 credits at the 200-level from any of the following subjects:

  • Complete 18 credits at the 300-level from any of the following subjects:

  • Complete 3 credits at the 400-level from any of the following subjects:
