Studio art is the practice of creating visual artwork through media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and digital art. A BFA in studio art emphasizes making and developing artwork through studio courses, critiques, and independent projects. Students study artistic ideas and techniques while building a body of work.
At PNCA, we encourage students to connect their practice to global social, civic, and community issues. Students can combine courses across disciplines to develop their skills, define their voice, and develop an interdisciplinary practice.
