Pooya Darius Naderi is a Microsociologist specializing in critical theories of deviance and ethnographic research methods. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Kansas. His work focuses on how human experiences are shaped within social contexts and matrices of oppression, and how people navigate gendered institutions across societies. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in cross-disciplinary journals, including Qualitative Sociology and Health: An Interdisciplinary Journal for the Social Study of Health, Illness, and Medicine. Pooya is a second generation American, born to a Turco-Persian family, and raised in Oregon.
