Post-Baccalaureate Residency’s Equity Scholarships

The recipient of the Post-Baccalaureate Equity Scholarship will receive $5000 for the one year residency. Equity scholarships are intended to remove financial barriers for students who have demonstrated a commitment to racial justice seeking to pursue a Graduate degree at PNCA.   

How to apply for the PNCA Graduate Equity Scholarship:

  • Submit a completed Post-Baccalaureate Residency Application for Fall 2023.
  • Complete the online Post-Baccalaureate Equity Scholarship Application by January 20, 2023.
  • Submit official undergraduate degree transcripts to the PNCA Graduate Admissions Office. Unofficial transcripts can be used to apply, but we will need copies of all official transcripts as soon as you graduate from your current institution. If your undergraduate degree was earned outside of the United States, a transcript evaluation from WES, ECE or another NACES member must be submitted instead.

Complete a CSS profile through CollegeBoard.org.

Selection Criteria

Scholarship recipients are selected based on the following:

Demonstration of the potential for excellence through a strong application to the graduate school

Demonstrated commitment to ending racial injustice (community based work, activism, organizing, political education, mutual aid, etc.) Include a CV that shows this work and/or 250-500 word narrative description.

Clear articulation of how graduate study at PNCA will help the student achieve their creative goals and “reimagine the world” 250-500 words.

Award Notification February 28, 2023.
