Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies: Fall 2020 Update

May 28, 2020

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

From all of us in the Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies at PNCA, we hope that you and your families and friends are safe and well. I’m reaching out to share an update on how we are moving forward as Spring 2020 draws to a close.

In Oregon, our collective efforts to flatten the curve are working. Closely following national and state guidelines, PNCA intends to run classes on campus for Fall 2020. We plan to make use of the graduate studios and community facilities while putting in place new protocols for safe social distancing. We will abide by all health and safety guidelines required by the State of Oregon.

As we plan for on-campus classes, we are prepared to accommodate immunocompromised students and students who are not comfortable being on campus with remote options. Our students’ and community’s health and well-being are always our highest priority.

As creatives, we look forward to working with students to meet the challenges of these times in innovative and thoughtful ways. As such, we are crafting contingency plans to support continued classes, engagements, exhibitions and studio practice should new or additional limitations arise. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

For now, stay healthy and care for one another.

Sincerely,

MK Guth Director of Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies
