Rhythms of Grace
Welcome to a world where spiritual freedom lives. In this world, just like any other, communication happens via sounds, but the importance here is in the experience of these particular frequencies. Sound has the power to transport anyone from the real world to this world where limitations are only bound by the mind. This world orbits within spiritual waves of freedom that bounce around in the minds of the faithful. I’m a citizen of this world, trying to find my place, from a limited space where my physical body lives to a liberated spiritual world where rhythms of grace exist.
Melissa Gueiros
Originally from Brazil, Melissa Gueiros is an artist who lives in Seattle, WA area. With a Bachelor of Arts from University of Washington, she is currently working on her MFA at Pacific Northwest College of Arts in Portland, OR. Gueiros merges her two favorite worlds of communication: music and visual arts. Some say it is rather impossible to see the invisible, but she believes it’s done every day. Her work orbits around rhythm and improvisation in many interdisciplinary manifestations of sound. The experience of these frequencies of sound is what her work thrives upon. Her exhibitions include Bend Art Center, Bend, OR in 2019.
